Hello Everyone, I've been riding trials alone in Nunavut the past 10 years. I'm in the Sherbrooke area for a few weeks and am wondering if anyone has any rides planned in the next few weeks.
Wow! nice photos, unique place for riding! Wish I could say, let's do an event over there, but it's a bit far What kind of temperature were you having ? Thanks for sharing. Hugo

Thanks Hugo. All communities in Nunavut are fly in only so it would be a bit expensive, but it is amazing riding. I ride my bikes right out of my driveway, and there are amazing spots within 15 minutes riding.
I ride year round. Summer averages 10 to 15 degrees and almost 24 hour daylight which is great, and winter gets down to -40 and not as much daylight, but the snow is very reflective so it doesn't take much light to brighten things up. The day the frozen waterfall video was filmed it was -30, and a 320km round trip through the mountains towing the bike to get there.
I do like a challenge now and then and there are some nasty spots. Last year on Canada Day I chartered a helicopter to drop me 50 miles out of town on the tundra and tried to ride back. On the way up we dropped fuel and food at 3 evenly spaced locations along my planned route, and I carried 8 litres of fuel with me, plus the 3 in the tank. The terrain was so rough I didn't even make it to my first fuel stop. After 11 hours of riding I ran out of fuel and had only covered 12 miles. No choice but to call the chopper back for a rescue. Fun times! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfKdE2H3yDk

Here are a couple more videos of riding close to town.

Thanks Guilap, I'll give you a shout!
I'd like to thank Guillaume and Max for taking time today to bring me riding. Even though the weather was not great they arranged a place for us to ride. Guillaume snapped a handlebar so we stuck a stick in so he could get back to the truck but it broke. Max is a contractor and had a small piece of pipe to slip inside the handlebar for a better repair. They fixed it and we continued riding in the snow and mud.
